"I Surrender All" was written by Fanny Crosby. In her lifetime, Fanny wrote the lyrics to almost 9,000 hymns. Almost every Protestant hymnbook includes hymns by Fanny Crosby. She was a woman of small stature who became blind as a baby, but she was a mighty woman of God.

"Love Letters In the Sand" was written with music by J Fred Coots and lyrics by Nick & Charles Kenny. The song was originally published in 1931, and Ted Black and his Ochestra had the first hit with it. Pat Boone recoreded it in 1957 and it was on the charts for 34 weeks. It was #1 on the charts for five weeks in June and July of 1957.

I had a YouTube friend request this Hank Williams song. This is my first attempt at singing country music!! I hope you enjoy it. This song was recorded on a Zoom Q3HD Vidieo Camera, with my Lanakai S-Teq Tenor low G ukulele, Lee Oscar harmonica, and a Vintage AKG mic all pluged through my Acoustic Image Coda R Upright Bass Amp. The Acoustic Image is not only a terrific upright bass amp, but it works great as a small PA system. It only weighs 20 lbs. and has 400 watts, as well as built-in effects such as reverb, chorus, flange, and delay.

In 1966, Chris Montez recorded "Call Me" that was written by Tony Hatch. In the fall of 1969, I was asked to sing a special song at church. I used to sing "Call Me" with a jazz trio, and I decided to slightly change the words so it would fit for church...thus "Call on Him".

Some sorces credit Percy Weinrich (music) and Jack Mahoney (lyrics) as writing this song in 1914, but for the song in its its most popular form, credit Ray Henderson (music) and Sam Lewis and Joesph Young (lyrics). It was this version that was recorded for the first time by the California Ramblers in 1925.

Two of my ukulele friends approached me about doing this collaboration. We all live in different parts of the U.S., from the east coast to the west coast and in between. Laura and I especially want to thank Joanie, who had the technical skills to put this all together. I suggested calling our trio Floyd and the Floydettes, but for some reason the gals never responded back to me. (LOL!) I hope you enjoy our efforts in this collaboration.
